Easy software installation

In order for your experience with your Titan Astro SkyCamOne HAT to be as good as it can be, we’ve tried to simplify the installation and configuration.

Your SkyCamOne HAT comes with a Quick Start Guide. How to mount the HAT on top of your Raspberry Pi is described in this Guide.

After you finish mounting the hardware you will have to install the Raspberry Pi OS. On this page of the Raspberry official site, you’ll find how to install the OS. We recommend installing a version without the Raspberry Pi Desktop.

After you have installed the Raspberry Pi OS, you can proceed to installing the software for your SkyCamOne HAT. We’ve created an automated installer that simplifies the installation immensely for you. You can find how to install the software on this page on our site.

Once this is done, you can install your favorite all sky software. There are two “flavours” that are most popular, and we recommend both – it’s mostly your personal preference on which one to choose. Both “flavours” are Open Source software which essentially means they are free.

One flavour is the TJ Allsky software, the other one is INDI Allsky. You choose.

Enjoy your allsky adventures!
