TJ Allsky configuration for your SkyCamOne HAT
Independant of which SkyCamOne HAT you have (for RPi 4B or for RPi 5), this page explains how to use your SkyCamOne HAT features with TJ Allsky.
We’ll tell you where to configure each feature.
Stepper motor for focus
Unfortunately at the time of writing this (February 2025), TJ Allsky does not have any focusing mechanisms built in, unlike INDI Allsky.
We have included a Python focus script with the software installation of your SkyCamOne HAT. You can use this script from the command line or via SSH.
SHT31-D temperature and humidity sensor with a dew heater
We would advise you to use one of our SHT31-D temperature and humidity sensors to provide the readings necessary for the dew heater logic within TJ Allsky.
Connect it to your SkyCamOne HAT using any length of QWIIC cable that we provide. Insert the cable into one of the three QWIIC ports on your SkyCamOne HAT.
- Use the TJ Allsky modules installer to install the Dew Heater module.
Here you will find how to do this. - Log into TJ Allsky (default via https://raspberrypi.local/)
- In the menu, click on Module Manager.
- In the dropdown box on top, choose Periodic jobs.
- In list on the left, search for Sky Dew Heater Control and drag this to the right side column.

- Make sure that the Enabled checkbox is checked.
- Click on Settings. Fill out the next screen as follows:

- Optionally, you can choose to enable the inbuilt heater of your SHT31-D sensor by switching to the SHT31 tab and checking the Enable Heater box:

- Switch to the Heater tab and fill out as follows;

- Finally, click Save. To store your settings, click on the green diskette icon on top.
