Compass Magnetometer Sensor MMC5983MA I2C
Product Details
Brand: Titan Astro
HS Code: 853400
Country of Origin: Spain

This Titan Astro sensor board is based on the famous Memsic MMC5983MA 3-axis magenetometor sensor, providing spacial awereness readings via I2C (QWIIC) to the SkyCamOne HAT.

We've designed this extra small breakout board so it can be easily fixed with a screw or clip. These sensors are some of the finest & highest-accuracy devices you can get, with a true I2C interface for easy reading.

  • Ultra-High 18-bit Resolution – Delivers exceptionally precise magnetic field readings for accurate orientation and heading detection.
  • 🧭 Wide ±8 Gauss Measurement Range – Ideal for both weak and strong magnetic environments.
  • 🔇 Low Noise Floor (~0.4 mG/√Hz) – Detects subtle changes in magnetic fields with excellent stability.
  • 🌡️ Built-In Temperature Compensation – Ensures reliable performance across varying environmental conditions.
  • High-Speed Output (Up to 1000 Hz) – Supports real-time applications like robotics, drones, and astronomy systems.
  • 🛠️ Factory-Calibrated with Offset Correction – Simplifies integration and reduces the need for manual calibration.
  • 🔌 I2C & SPI Interface Support – Easy connection to microcontrollers, Raspberry Pi, and embedded systems.
  • 📏 Compact 2x2 mm LGA Package – Perfect for space-constrained designs and portable devices.
  • 🔄 On-Chip Self-Test Function – Enables built-in diagnostics and easier maintenance.
  • Remember to get yourself a QWIIC cable and maybe a SkyCamOne HAT?

Note: You may get an off-white or black JST connector.

    • Uses I2C address 0x30
    • 25mm x 9.25mm x 2.5mm / 0.984" × 0.364" × 0.098"
    • Weight: 0.9g
