After many months of shipping problems towards the US because of the US Tariffs introduced since the 1st of April, we can finally confirm that all shipping to the United States of America has been restored.
Besides the big challenges for the shipping companies worldwide, that had to adapt their systems to a completely new way of dealing with taxes, Titan Astro also has had its own challenges adapting our internal systems to the new system of our preferred shipping organization, Correos Spain.
Currently there are only two countries worldwide that recently have introduced an added Tax towards their citizens that needs to be collected by the international vendor; the United Kingdom and the United States of America. These are extraordinary situations, really. Normally, when taxes are raised, they are charged to the final customer by border customs of the resident country, not by the international vendor.
In the cases of the United Kingdom and the United States, the foreign vendor needs to charge additional costs to their customers and pass the money on to the UK/US government. Only to discourage UK/US citizens from buying abroad, while many products are simply not available nationally, and will never be.
That being said, we are happy to be able to continue doing business in the UK and now the United States of America again, as a large part of our customer base is from these two countries. Welcome back!
